How to get a Vietnam visa for Ukrainian citizens

Ukrainian citizens are required to obtain a visa before entering Vietnam. Currently, there are 3 ways to apply for a visa: Vietnam e-visa, visa on arrival, or through the Vietnam Embassy in Ukraine.

Who needs a Vietnam visa?

All Ukrainian citizens traveling to Vietnam for tourism, business, family visits, or study are required to obtain a visa. The only exception is for travelers transiting through a Vietnamese airport for fewer than 24 hours who remain within the international transit area. Those who have a direct flight to Phu Quoc Island and will NOT visit other mainland cities are eligible for 30 days Vietnam visa exemption.

What you need to apply

  • Valid passport (at least 6 months validity from arrival date)
  • Clear photo of passport bio page
  • Recent portrait photo (taken within the last 6 months)
  • Valid credit or debit card for online payment
