From 15 December 2016, the Vietnam immigration policy on US citizens has been changed. According to this new rule, the US visitors now can apply for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year multiple entry visa in stead of only 1 year multiple entry visa as before.
- The stamping fee for 1 month, 3 months single entry visa is 25 USD
- The stamping fee for 1 month, 3 months multiple entry visa is 50 USD
- The stamping fee for less than 6 months multiple entry visa is 95 USD and
- The stamping fee for 1 year multiple entry visa is 135 USD.
The regulations on the US citizens to apply for 1 year multiple entry tourist visa as the only option has been lifted from tomorrow 15 December 2016. This will give flexible and reasonable options for those who plan to travel Vietnam for short time without paying unwanted expensive stamping fee 135 USD.
For US citizens who applied and received 1 year multiple entry tourist visa before but haven’t used it, should consider to re-apply for 1 month or 3 month single (multiple) entry visa to avoid costly stamping fee 135 USD per visa.
